The found poem: Read a book and circle some words on a page. Use those words to craft a poem. Alternatively you can cut out words and phrases from magazines.

Cold stone underfoot,
Solid, unyielding.
Nothing ahead,
just a stretching dark,
Eyes adjust,
tunnel walls develop.
With a deep breath,
I take my first step.

Author Note: The page I used to inspire this poem was the first page of Chapter 5 of The Hobbit – Riddles in the Dark.

Still sticking with the poetry prompts, I’m actually enjoying it. There seems to be a freedom in the structure of a poem which you lose when writing full cohesive sentences, and I think using less words will really help me when I edit my writing.
